1895's Electric Carnival brought the 20th century to Sacramento a few years early as the city was lit and treated to a parade of floats generated by power transmitted from Folsom. The Buffalo Brewery offered the souvenir card above to commemorate this event as well as California Admission Day. An electric street car rolls by the enormous brewery, a long-gone landmark that played a big part in Sacramento's commercial name recognition, at least among beer drinkers!
