This joint effort by the Board of Supervisors and Exposition Commissioners of Sacramento County from 1915 is a wonderful example of the promotional brochures issued by most California counties to draw visitors and new neighbors to the Golden State. The horses strain and the automobile chugs along on Bridge Street in old Fair Oaks with the bridge linking what is now Gold River with the fertile citrus and olive groves of Orangevale, Fair Oaks and Citrus Heights in the background. The famous Fair Oaks Bluffs, immortalized through local artists and preservation groups, lay to the left.
