The FIRST ANNUAL REPORT OF THE SACRAMENTO INDUSTRIAL IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION published by H. S. Crocker in 1895 is some mighty dry reading but the advertising is a different matter entirely. The popularity of the standard bicycle, very similar in appearance to the basic bike of today, was firmly established across the nation by the time this advertisement saw print and Baker & Hamilton offered at least two different brands.
