Straight down K Street flow the electric trains while the horse-drawn conveyances stay out of their way on a sunny Sacramento day ca. 1910. The Grand Theater at 1117 7th Street shown on the right functioned as a vaudeville and movie house under that name until 1917. Two more exhibitors leased the space until 1926 when it settled into a variety of uses, most notably as the Hotel Governor and New Governor Grill. The note on the back of this postcard comments on the lack of automobiles in the street scene.
