With black smoke pouring from its stack a passenger train for the Western Pacific pulls out of the depot at Nineteenth and J Streets on this card postmarked May, 1921. In 2002 the rumble of buscarts and shouts of "order up" fill the building in its current incarnation as a popular Italian restaurant, a perfect melding of the present and the pasta.
