California Magazine for July 1915 devoted a whopping 600+ pages to all aspects of life in the Golden State. Included in these detailed histories are food manufacturing, fruit culture, dairying, field products, livestock, and poultry. The California fruit industry alone was valued at over $50,000,000 by 1909. This issue is loaded with black & white and color photographs, including the peach orchard in the top picture and the land set out in prunes on the bottom.
