The Baker and Hamilton Company of San Francisco took over the farm implement business from Warren & Sons in Sacramento when Col. Warren took over the editorial chores on the California Farmer. The catalogue shown was their 27th, issued in October of 1893, almost 40 years after they branched out to Sacramento. The contraption on the front cover is the No. 107c Eureka gang plow complete with gear lever attachment. The next illustration features ads for a lighter weight "sulky" plow and a sturdy vineyard and orchard gang plow that weighed more than 350 pounds. The complex wheeled object at the top of the third advertising page shows one of 20,000 "Big Injun" sulky plows that were in use when this catalogue was circulating. The fourth illustration shows a Bain "Handy" wagon, advertised as the one "every fruit grower should have." The last illustration is the back cover of the catalogue with thumbnail sketches of the implements to found inside.
