The State Agricultural Pavilion at 15th and N Streets is the subject of this century-old postcard. Dated August 19, 1904, a Mr. Malville of San Francisco was implored to visit the California State Fair: "Can't you come up for the fair? It commences next Monday and lasts two weeks." Located at the end of Capitol Park, this pavilion opened in 1884 and would close at the end of 1905 when all activities moved to the "new" Fairgrounds on Stockton Boulevard.
