Since alfalfa, used a feed for cattle, was grown extensively in Sacramento County, what better than to become a dairy farmer. According to the writer of this pamphlet several of the best dairies in the State were located in Sacramento County. Butter and cheese were manufactured here and shipped all over the country. Sacramento County in the heart of California.
