Celebration for arrival of the first 3-cylinder compound 4-10-2 class of locomotive, 5000 series. It was the first 4-10-2 locomotive built for the SP. View is looking east. Both ends of the Roundhouse are visible. A similar view was reproduced on the cover of the company magazine, the Southern Pacific Bulletin, for July 1925.
