The 45th Annual California State Fair at Sacramento ran from September 5-17, in 1898. A book of tickets like the one featured here was the key that opened the gates for the full run. This booklet of Ladies Tickets provided access to the Pavilion of Agriculture and both day evening admission to the park itself. The tickets were color coded for each day and not much different in concept from the Disneyland ticket books baby boomers in American used by the millions.
