A packet of penny postcards circa 1920 features the capitol building and Sutter's Fort--two local structures that have stood the test of time--on the front and back covers. Most of the major buildings showcased are gone or rebuilt and the riverfront has changed, but the downtown area is still somewhat recognizable and the Capitol grounds are still a lovely place to stroll through.
