Summary
According to this card postmarked January, 1912, "Sacramento River is the largest navigable river in California. It produces finer salmon than any other river on the Coast." While the buildings, barges, boats and just about everything else in this Sacramento River scene have changed the salmon that run the rivers and spawn at the Nimbus Fish Hatchery east of Sacramento still play an important part in the economy, ecology and entertainment of the valley.
